Four Men Target Homes and Cars in Spate of Break-In Attempts
Police are on the hunt after four men tried to break into houses and vehicles across Kent over a week in September 2023. A total of 10 incidents are under investigation.
Early Morning Break-In Attempts Caught on Neighbour’s Watch
At about 2am on Friday, 22 September, the suspects tried to enter a home on Aspen Drive but were scared off by a vigilant neighbour. Just an hour later, they were spotted attempting to break into two properties on Nelson Avenue.
Later that morning, the gang targeted a house and a vehicle on Southsea Avenue. They also made off with a black MG from Jasmin Close.
More Attempted Burglaries Across Faversham and Sittingbourne
Kent Police received reports of further break-in attempts stretching from Saturday 23 to Friday 27 September in Faversham and Sittingbourne.
Suspects’ Description and Police Appeal
The four men were all dressed in grey tracksuits with hoods up. They wore black gloves and dark shoes. One carried a black bag and held what looked like a notebook. Their faces were covered.
PC Georgina Harris, investigating officer from Swale’s CID, said: “While the suspects failed to gain entry, we’re linking all these reports and urge anyone with info to come forward. Drivers with dashcams and residents with CCTV, please check your footage.”
