Dramatic Police Chase Ends with Burglary Suspects Nabbed in Swanley
Unmarked Police Spot Renault Clio
At around 8.50pm on Monday 13 May, officers in an unmarked police car tried to pull over a red Renault Clio on Birchwood Road. The patrol switched on blue lights and sirens, but the driver sped off, heading towards Swanley.
High-Speed Pursuit Through Swanley Streets
The chase weaved through the town, with the Clio turning left onto the B2173 before racing down Hockenden Lane, Sheepcote Lane, Crockenhill Road, and Sweeps Lane. Police kept close behind as the pursuit unfolded.
Suspects Caught and Charged
The getaway came to an end when the Clio was brought to a controlled stop in Okemore Gardens. A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Orpington, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and vehicle theft. They remain in police custody as detectives continue their investigation.

Officers are urging anyone who saw a red Renault Clio speeding through Swanley between 8pm and 9pm on Monday 13 May to get in touch. Dashcam footage from the area at that time could prove vital.
