Man Hounds Two Women With Lewd Remarks in Broad Daylight

Morning Molestation on Newtown Road

Two women faced unwanted attention from the same man on Monday, 27 March 2023. At around 9am, a man approached a woman on Newtown Road. He made suggestive comments and forced a short, uncomfortable conversation before finally walking off.

Second Attack Minutes Later on Mulberry Road

Just over an hour later, at 10:05am, the suspected same man stopped another woman on Mulberry Road. He launched into another unwelcome chat filled with crude remarks before heading towards Springwood Drive.

Police Hunt Dark-Clad Harasser

Both victims described the man as white, about 5ft 8in, with short dark hair, wearing dark clothes and shorts.

Detective Chief Inspector Stefanie Earl said: “Given the close proximity and similar descriptions, we’re linking these incidents. We’re checking CCTV and want anyone who saw anything to come forward.”
