Gravesend Assaults Spark Police Hunt for Witnesses

Police are on the lookout for witnesses after two violent attacks rocked Gravesend. The first happened around 9.30pm in Medhurst Crescent, where a man claims he was racially abused and then punched repeatedly in the head by a gang of youths.

Second Attack Turns Violent in Valley Drive

Minutes later, a man and woman were assaulted by what’s believed to be the same group in Valley Drive. The male victim confronted the gang after they damaged his car. He was then attacked with a glass bottle and a wooden stick.

The woman stepped in to calm things down but was struck by two members of the gang. The suspects, three boys and two girls, fled the scene before police arrived.

Suspect Descriptions Released

  • The two girls: slim build, about 5ft 4in tall, wearing black coats. One has long blonde hair; the other brunette with a ponytail. Both speak with local accents.
  • The boys: one medium build with brown hair, wearing jeans and a jacket; another taller, wearing a brown top; the last is short, slim, and sporting a baseball cap.

Police Appeal for Information
