Multiple Attacks Spark Outrage

A 33-year-old woman has been arrested following a string of brutal dog attacks in Swindon’s Moredon area. Wiltshire Police confirmed the arrest on 8 May on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act. The suspect remains in custody as officers continue their investigation.

Dog Seized After Violent Incidents

The chilling attacks include two assaults on other dogs and a person on 11 and 26 April, which caused injuries. The violence escalated to the fatal mauling of a cat on 3 May. The dog involved in these horrific incidents has now been seized by police.

We appreciate the significant amount of public concern around this dog following multiple incidents, and I can confirm it has been seized,” said PC Sam Young of the Swindon Local Policing Tasking Team.

“I’d also like to thank everyone who contacted us after our public appeal, which led to today’s arrest. She will now be questioned in connection with the incidents.”
