Woman Shoved in Oxford Co-op by Suspected Shoplifter

Thames Valley Police are hunting a man caught on CCTV after a woman was shoved during a shoplifting attempt in Oxford.

Shocking Morning Incident at Littlemore Road Co-op

At 7:30am on Friday 27 July, a man walked into the Co-op store on Littlemore Road. He grabbed items from the shelf and tried to slip out without paying. When a female staff member challenged him, he pushed her aside.

Thankfully, the woman was not hurt, and no goods were stolen.

Police Want to Speak to This Man

PC Charles Smith, leading the investigation at the Oxford Investigation Hub, urged anyone who recognises the man in the released CCTV image to come forward.

“We are investigating the assault of a woman. As part of our ongoing enquiries, I would like to speak to the person shown in the image, as he may have important information about the incident.”
