Police rushed to Yelland Walk, East Wichel, Swindon this morning after a member of the public reported finding a body in the canal.
Deceased Identified as Elderly Woman
Emergency teams recovered the body from the water. While formal ID is pending, officers believe the victim is a woman in her 80s from Swindon.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers during this tough time.
No Suspicious Circumstances, Police Say
