Woman Stabbed in Brutal Attack Outside North End Bank

Emergency services rushed to North End this afternoon after a shocking stabbing incident. A 35-year-old woman was attacked with a large black-handled kitchen knife just before 3pm, stabbed in the back at the top of her spine outside Barclays Bank.

Knife Still Lodged When Paramedics Arrived

Witnesses described the weapon as a sizable kitchen knife. It was reportedly still stuck just below the victim’s neck when paramedics reached the scene. Police have taped off the area with blue cordons and launched a full investigation.

Suspect Arrested After Attempted Getaway

A 41-year-old man, believed to be known to the victim, was arrested nearby in Kingston Crescent. He was caught trying to flee and is now held on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police urge anyone who saw the attack, spotted an agitated man in the area, or has any information to call 101 immediately.
