A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at about 04:55hrs on Sunday, 28 January to reports of a car travelling on the wrong side of the carriageway on the A2 in Bexleyheath. While en route, officers were informed that the car had collided with a second vehicle. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and taken to a hospital as a precaution. He remains in custody at a south London police station. The road was partially closed to traffic.”
