Tributes Flood In as Young Southampton Man Dies in M27 Horror Crash

Tragedy struck near Portsmouth as 20-year-old Luke Shaw from Bitterne lost his life following a smash on the M27 motorway. Luke was rushed to hospital after a crash involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa on the eastbound carriageway between Fareham and Portsmouth around 11.15pm on Sunday, June 26.

Luke, who was a backseat passenger in the car, sadly died on Wednesday, June 29, from his injuries.

Family Pays Heartfelt Tribute

His mum, Tracy Pearce, expressed heartbreak: “Luke was a son, a brother and an uncle. He was loved by many.

She added, “Although Luke may not be with us in person anymore, he will always remain in our memories and most importantly our hearts. Since passing, a light has gone out in all our lives.”

His dad, Gary Shaw, called Luke his best friend. “I am so proud of the man he had become and all he achieved, particularly in his job at Kwik Fit where he was extremely respected, loved and valued.”

Two Others Injured, Now Released

Two other men, aged 20 and 19, also in the car, were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Serious Collision Unit is urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the blue Corsa before the incident to come forward.
