Fire crews called for a Third time to Bales of hay ablaze on Isle of Wight Farm

Fire crews from across the Isle of Wight have been called to a fire on a farm in East Cowes. Fire crews from Newport and water carriers from both Ventnor have been called for a third time to bales of hay that are well alight at the farm on Folly Lane in East Cowes Crews were mobilised to the incident just before 1pm on Monday. Firefighters are using a hose reel to deal with an area around 10m x 10m in size The call comes after firefighters spent many hours overnight tackle 30 bales of hay that had been set alight. The cause of the fire is still under investigation More to follow
