East Lothian police have charged two 13-year-old boys in connection with an assault on a woman that occurred at a bus stop in Tranent on August 30, 2024.

The assault, which involved a female victim, prompted an immediate investigation by the East Lothian Community Police Team, who launched extensive enquiries to identify and apprehend the suspects. Following their efforts, the two teenage boys were charged.

Due to their age, the identities of the accused cannot be disclosed. They have been reported to the relevant authorities, and the investigation is ongoing.
