US Embassy in London in Lockdown

Roads near to the US Embassy in London have been cordoned off after a suspicious package was found. Emergency services were reportedly called to Nine Elms Lane, where the embassy is located, at 11.05am today (Saturday, November 30). Several roads in the area have been cordoned off while officers inspect the package. A spokesperson for the Met said: ” Police were called at 11.05am on Saturday, November 30 to reports of a suspicious package under a vehicle on Post Office Way, SW8. Officers are in attendance and a cordon has been put in place. “A number of roads have been closed as a precaution.”
