Sadly, a man in his 50s, the driver and sole occupant of the stationary vehicle, was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later. His family are being supported by specially-trained officers at this difficult time. He is due to appear before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (28 February).
