Arson Probe Launched After Outbuilding At East Kent Railway Is Torched

Arson Probe launched after outbuilding at East Kent Railway is torched

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire in a timber outbuilding on the site of East Kent Railway in Shepherdswell, near Dover. Four fire engines attended and crews used two main jets to extinguish the fire. The cause is being investigated. Volunteers  today said that they were sorry to announce that they  have been hit by vandals and arsonists. This is a gutting time for our volunteers who work so hard to make the EKR a place for everyone to enjoy. We have lost a lot of equipment, power tools, generator, recovered artifacts and more. If anyone has any information please email our General Manager on [email protected] We will be asking for donations and for offers of equipment if anyone has any for disposal, thanks for your kind consideration
