Bus Driver attacked and has liquid substance thrown in his face in Greenwich

An investigation has been launched after a bus driver has been attacked and injured in Greenwich this evening.  The man is understood t have been attacked and had a liquid thrown at him  by a group of five girls. All three emergency services have been sent to the incident at the  North Greenwich Transport exchange  on Millennium Way, Greenwich Peninsula in South East London and a scene has been established by officers from the Met Police.   Police,Paramedics and the fire service were all  called just after 5.15pm on Sunday. It is currently unclear how badly injured the driver is or what has been thrown. Police were called to Greenwich bus station at 5.30pm on Sunday, 15 March, to reports of an assault on a driver. Officers attended. It was reported an unknown substance, believed to be perfume, had been sprayed in his face by a young female. The driver did not require hospital treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.
