The man and woman who were found deceased at a property on College Road in Thornton Curtis on Friday, July 14, have been identified by their families as Robert Jobson, aged 84, and Rose Jobson, aged 69.
Authorities were alerted to the property around 3.40pm after receiving reports of concern for safety. Upon arrival, the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered. Despite the presence of paramedics, both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Chief Inspector Al Curtis, the Senior Investigating Officer from the Major Crime Team, expressed condolences to the families affected by the tragedy. Specially trained officers are providing support to Robert and Rose’s families as they cope with their loss during this challenging time.
The incident has understandably shocked the community, and local residents are receiving support from the police. Officers are conducting house-to-house visits to offer reassurance, engage with the community, and help them come to terms with the tragic event.
