Fire Breaks Out At Netley Castle Southampton

A number of fire crews from St Marys, Hightown and Redbridge are this morning tackling a fire that has broken out in a building with in the grounds of the Castle. Crews were called just after 9:30 this morning and faced with a well developed fire. A Number of appliances are at the scene and are currently attempting to contain the blaze that had started in a bathroom of the grade two listed building. Due to the quick intervention by fire crews and putting out the fire damaged has been limited to a small amount of Internal damage believed to be limited to partition walls and plasterboard in the bath, as well as the roof. A specialist aerial ladder platform has been called in to support crews that is stationed at Basingstoke but located at Winchester whilst a new Station is built in Basingstoke. https:///youtu.be/wG0WJyn0AOM A 38 Year old male has been treated for burns to his hands by Paramedics and a Doctor. The man has since been taken away by Ambulance to hospital.
