Five people escape house fire in Wood Green

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a terraced house in Sirdar Road, Wood Green. Half of the ground floor and most of the first floor was damaged by fire. Five people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade. The Brigade was called at 0447 and the fire was under control at 0649. Fire crews from Hornsey and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
