Further arrest over fatal Wandsworth stabbing

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Wandsworth have made another arrest. A 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday, 17 June on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a west London police station for questioning. Previously two people have been charged with the teenager’s murder. A 17-year-old boy from Merton and Mohammed Nadir Dafallah, 18 of Wandsworth were charged on Sunday, 16 June with the murder of an 18-year-old man who was stabbed on Deeside Road on the afternoon of Friday, 14 June. They will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 17 June. Four other people – aged between 16 anod 19 years old – have been released under investigation. An incident room is open under the Homicide and Major Crime Command and enquiries continue. A post-mortem examination took place at St George’s Hospital on Sunday, 16 June and gave the cause of death as a single stab wound. Officers from the South West Command Unit will continue to patrol the area and will be on hand to speak with local residents as the investigation continues.
