The M1 in Hertfordshire has been closed following a serious multi-vehicle collision
The M1 in Hertfordshire is closed northbound between J8 (near St Albans) and J9 due to a serious multi-vehicle collision. Emergency services including Hertfordshire Police, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Service are in attendance. Diverted traffic should follow the hollow diamond diversion symbol. Exit the M1 at J8 and join the A414 Breakspear Way. Continue until the roundabout with the A4147, and join the A4147 northbound (Maylands Avenue). At the next roundabout take first exit, and then the third exit at the second roundabout. Continue until the roundabout with the B487. Join B487 (Redbourn Road/Hemel Hempstead Road) until the roundabout with the A5183. Take the A5183 (Dunstable Road) and then rejoin the M1 at J9.
