Traffic at a standstill after two HVG crash

Two lorries have been involved in a collision on the A34 near Winchester leaving traffic chaos this evening The crash happened on the A34 northbound, and queues are stretching back onto the northbound M3 at junction 12 for Otterbourne. All lanes are now closed at the M3 junction 9 Winnall Interchange Police say that the crash involved two heavy goods vehicles and one person is injured. There are reports of a large oil spill following the crash. A police spokeswoman said: “Called at 13:49 to J9 of the M3. Collision involving two HGVs which appear to be in lane 2 on the approach to the A34. Appears to be one injury.”
