Two suspects have been arrested following a dramatic police pursuit through Lewisham, Greenwich, and Bexley in the early hours of Wednesday morning (23 April).
The incident began just before 4am, when officers attempted to stop a vehicle believed to be linked to a burglary. The suspects failed to stop, prompting a cross-borough police chase involving multiple units and support from the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter.
Police say the pursuit ended after “tactical contact” was used by specially trained drivers to safely bring the suspect vehicle to a halt. Both suspects were arrested at the scene and taken into custody on suspicion of burglary.
