Woman Dies in Pinner Flat Fire

A woman has died after being rescued from a deadly fire that ripped through her flat Mercer Place in Pinner. The victim, who remains unknown, was pulled from the blaze by firefighters late on Saturday night along with two men trapped in the block’s internal staircase. Twenty one firefighters and officers dealt with a fire in a flat on Mercer Place in Pinner last night. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman from the flat and two men from the block’s internal staircase. Sadly, the woman was later confirmed dead by London Ambulance Service. Around half of the flat was damaged in the fire. Four fire engines from Harrow, Hillingdon and Northolt fire stations attended the incident. The Brigade was called at 2150 and the fire was under control at 2346. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
