Tragic Crash Claims Life of Young Southsea Man on A3(M) Slip Road

Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal single-vehicle crash in Waterlooville this morning. At 5.45am, officers raced to the northbound A3(M) junction 4 slip road following reports of a serious collision.

Silver Vauxhall Astra Hits Barrier

The silver Vauxhall Astra smashed into the barrier dividing the slip road from the main carriageway before coming to a stop on the verge. The 25-year-old driver from Southsea suffered severe chest injuries and was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital by paramedics.

Driver Dies Despite Emergency Aid

Tragically, the man died shortly after arriving at the hospital. The slip road remained closed for four hours while police probed the scene to establish the crash cause.

Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward

Officers thanked motorists for their patience during the road closure. They now want anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle beforehand to get in touch.
