92-Year-Old Pensioner Rescued from Blaze in Fleet Home

A 92-year-old man was dramatically pulled from his burning home by firefighters in Fleet last night.

Firefighters Rush to Scene

Crews rushed to the chalet bungalow just before 6pm after neighbours spotted the fire and called 999. Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, carried the pensioner to safety amid thick smoke.

Emergency Care and Hospitalisation

The man received emergency medical care at the scene for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were not serious.

Firefighters Battle Fierce Flames

The fire quickly spread to the roof, and around 35 firefighters worked tirelessly to put out the blaze. The property suffered severe damage, but no one else was hurt.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, though officials are treating it as accidental.
