Kent Police’s Road Safety Unit snapped the offending vehicle near the BP garage on Limekiln Street this afternoon. They quickly handed out a traffic violation to the driver caught breaking the law.
“Hopefully, this has saved someone from being transported in the back at a later date,” the officers said.
Another Phone Ban Drama in Dartford
Just last week, officers in Dartford had to pull over a driver for the same mistake. The woman, chatting on her phone while driving, cheekily asked, “So I can’t use my phone even if it’s on speaker?”
The black Ford Focus was stopped on Princes Road around 11 a.m. on January 8 after officers spotted the driver holding her phone up to her face.
