Man Killed in Horror Brixton Road Crash
A man lost his life after being hit by a car this morning on Brixton Road near the busy Acre Lane and Coldharbour Lane junction.
Tragic Scene on Brixton Road
Emergency services rushed to the scene at 9.37 a.m. on Monday, February 6, but sadly, they could not save the man, who was pronounced dead at the site. His identity has not yet been released.
Brixton Road remains completely closed in both directions as police and paramedics deal with the aftermath.
Police Launch Full Investigation
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing to understand what caused the fatal collision.
Detectives urge anyone with footage or images of the incident to not share them online. Instead, they ask that all information be passed directly to police to assist the investigation.
Support Set Up for Those Affected
A welfare centre has been opened at Lambeth Town Hall & Civic Centre, right next to the crash site, to support anyone impacted by the tragedy.
