Tragic Head-On Crash on A303 Claims Life of 80-Year-Old Driver
At around 3.35pm, disaster struck on the A303 near Chilmark when an Audi A4 hit a Volkswagen Caravelle head-on on the single carriageway stretch.
One Dead, Two Injured in Horrific Collision
The Audi driver, a man in his 80s, was fatally injured and declared dead at the scene.
The Volkswagen driver, a man in his 30s, suffered serious leg injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
A female passenger in her 20s also sustained minor injuries.
A303 Shut Overnight, Now Reopened
The road was closed overnight while emergency services responded but has since reopened to traffic.
