Man Charged After Stabbing in Canary Wharf Car Park

Stabbing Shocker at Canary Wharf

A man in his 40s was seriously stabbed in an underground car park at Cabot Square, Canary Wharf, on Saturday night. The attack happened just before 9:30pm when the London Ambulance Service called police to the scene.

Victim Survives with Non-Life Threatening Injuries

Officers found the victim suffering serious wounds. He received on-site treatment before being rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Police arrested 57-year-old Rasheed Adekunle from Ross Avenue, Dagenham, following a swift investigation. He has been charged with:

  • Grievous bodily harm with intent
  • Possession of a bladed article
  • Robbery
  • Driving a motor vehicle without insurance
