Festival Chaos as Tent Pole Nicks Two in High Winds

Storm Hits Festival Bar Tent

Festival-goers got more than just a buzz when a heavy steel tent pole snapped and struck two people at a bar in the Octopus Garden area. Witnesses say the pole became dislodged in fierce winds, hitting one woman squarely.

Quick Medical Response

A festival spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying: “During a period of high winds on-site yesterday, two people were minorly injured when a pole within a small bar tent became loose.”

“The onsite medical team provided medical attention within four minutes. The structure was safely secured, and both people were discharged back into the festival,” they added. The festival assured fans it always puts health and safety first.

Wind Forces Music Mayhem

The gusts also wreaked havoc on the Main Stage, forcing organisers to halt the tunes temporarily. Blossoms had to cut their set short, while Kasabian soldiered on with speakers stuck low, leaving their sound muffled to many in the crowd.
