A Murder Investigation Has Been Launched Following The Death Of A Man Who Was Assaulted In Northampton Over The Weekend

An 18-year-old man was punched several times in Abington Street, near its intersection with Market Square, around 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, August 20.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but died the next day.
Three people have been arrested in connection with this incident: a 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both of whom have been released under investigation pending further investigation, and an 18-year-old man who is still in police custody.
