A3(M) Traffic Chaos After Serious Incident Near Portsmouth
The A3(M) northbound and southbound lanes are at a complete standstill following a major police incident near Junction 5 at Bedhampton, just outside Portsmouth.
Heavy Police Presence and Emergency Response
Traffic has been gridlocked since around 10:45am. Eyewitnesses report a significant police presence, multiple emergency vehicles on the scene, and an air ambulance landing nearby.
Person Reportedly Fallen or Jumped from Bridge
Local residents and motorists reveal that a person may have fallen or jumped from a bridge over the carriageway. Bedhampton Road, which runs above the A3(M), has also been closed off by police as they investigate.
