Smoke Fills the Air in Thornton Heath as Blaze Breaks Out Near Tesco
Chaos erupted around 10 a.m. this morning when thick smoke billowed from a building on Parchmore Road, right beside the Tesco car park.

Photos from the scene show dense plumes of smoke rising while a team of firefighters works furiously to bring the blaze under control.
Concern for Missing Person as Basement Burns
A worried local reported that the fire originated in a basement, with at least one person unaccounted for. “I knew the people who live there but wasn’t sure if they were at home,” they said.
An LFB spokesperson confirmed: “Six fire engines and approximately 40 firefighters have been dispatched to a building fire on Parchmore Road in Thornton Heath. If at all possible, please avoid the area. More information will be forthcoming.”
