Everton Board Banned from Match Over Threats
Everton’s entire Board of Directors has been ordered not to attend today’s Premier League clash with Southampton due to a “real and credible threat to their safety and security,” the club has confirmed.

Chairman Bill Kenwright, CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Finance Chief Grant Ingles, and Non-Executive Director Graeme Sharp all reluctantly accepted the harsh security advice after a thorough risk assessment.
The decision follows a surge in malicious threatening letters and a spike in anti-social behaviour, including targeted physical aggression at recent home games. These threats forced security to act swiftly to protect the Board members.

“This is an unprecedented decision for Everton Football Club – never before has our entire Board of Directors been ordered not to attend a match on safety grounds,” said a club spokesperson.
“It’s a terrible day for Everton and Evertonians.”
