A27 Shut Both Ways After Serious Crash Near Southwick
The A27 in East Sussex is closed in both directions between the A270 and A293 near Southwick following a serious collision earlier today.

Highways England has dispatched teams to clear up a fuel spillage caused by the crash, causing major delays for drivers.
Follow Diversions – Plan Ahead
- Eastbound drivers: Exit A27 at Holmbush Interchange. Follow the hollow black diamond diversion symbol. Take the A270 to the A293 junction, then rejoin the A27 at Hangleton Interchange.
- Westbound drivers: Follow the hollow black triangle diversion symbol. Take the reverse route via A293 and A270.
Motorists are warned to allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes while the A27 remains closed.
