A34 Northbound Shut After Crash Near Winchester
A smash on the A34 northbound in Hampshire has forced a shutdown between the M3 J9 (Winchester) and A33 (Abbots Worthy). Hampshire Police are on the scene dealing with the collision.
Follow the Solid Black Diamond for a Smooth Detour
Drivers should stick to the clearly marked Solid Black Diamond diversion to bypass the closure:
- Keep heading north on the M3 to junction 7.
- Exit at J7, circle the roundabout, and take the fourth exit back onto the M3 southbound.
- Stay in the nearside lanes to junction 8 and leave the M3 onto the A303.
- Drive along the A303 for 6 miles, then exit at Bullington Cross interchange.
- At the T junction, turn right and drive under both the A303 and A34.
- At the roundabout, take the first exit to rejoin the A34 northbound.
Plan ahead and expect delays until the scene is cleared.
