Serious Crash Closes A34 Southbound in Hampshire

The A34 southbound between the A303 (Bullington Cross) and the A272 (Worthy Down, near Winchester) is shut after a serious two-vehicle collision. Hampshire Police are at the scene, and the road is expected to remain closed overnight.

Major Delays As Drivers Divert

Motorists are being rerouted — follow the black diamond signs. Exit at Bullington Cross and take the A303 eastbound. Then join the M3 at junction 8 heading north to junction 7. Exit there, circle the roundabout, and rejoin the M3 southbound. Continue on the M3 south to junction 9 to get back on track.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

A Hampshire Police spokesperson urged anyone who saw the crash or has dash cam footage to come forward. The collision involved a car and an HGV and happened about half a mile from Sutton Scotney services on the southbound carriageway.

“If you witnessed this, please call 101 and quote incident 833 of 11/11/19,” the spokesperson said.
