Chaos at Denver Airport as American Airlines Plane’s Landing Gear Bursts Into Flames

Smoke and Flames Trigger Emergency Evacuation

Passengers faced a terrifying ordeal today at Denver International Airport when American Airlines flight AA3023 caught fire on the tarmac. Moments after landing, flames and thick smoke billowed from the plane’s left main landing gear, sparking a dramatic evacuation.

Emergency slides were quickly deployed as terrified passengers scrambled to escape. Footage from the scene showed black smoke and visible fire licking the aircraft’s wheels as firefighters rushed in to tackle the blaze.

All Passengers Safe, Minor Smoke Inhalation Reported

Thanks to the swift response from the flight crew and emergency teams, every passenger was evacuated safely within minutes. Airport fire crews brought the situation under control fast, and thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported.

Several passengers were treated for minor smoke inhalation and panic-related issues, but none were hospitalised.

“We are aware of an issue involving flight 3023 after landing at Denver. All passengers were safely evacuated. We are cooperating with authorities and investigating the cause,” said American Airlines.

FAA Launches Probe into Possible Brake or Tire Failure

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has opened an investigation into the incident. Early reports suggest a possible brake or tyre failure triggered the fire, but officials warn it’s too soon to confirm the exact cause.

Flight AA3023 had flown from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Denver (DEN). While the aircraft remains unconfirmed, sources indicate it is likely an Airbus A320 series.
