Black Rock Marina Ramp Closed for Major Upgrade
A new pedestrian and cycle link is coming to Black Rock as part of a fresh rejuvenation scheme. But first, the Marina’s lower exit ramp will be temporarily shut.
Upper Ramp Opens Up to Two-Way Traffic
To keep things moving, the Marina entrance ramp (the upper ramp) will open for two-way traffic. Drivers heading west into Brighton will need to use the signed diversion via Wilson Avenue and the Gas Works junction on Marina Way.
Work Starts January, Finishes by Summer
Contractors kick off work the week starting 9 January. The project is set to wrap up by summer, with the Marina staying open as usual throughout.
Brighton & Hove Council: “We apologise to all Marina residents and visitors for any inconvenience the changes may cause.”
Note: Brighton & Hove buses are on alert, warning of possible delays, especially on busy Marina days.
