The disruption happened during upgrade works at the Brighton Hill roundabout, where builders accidentally cut through essential lines.
Openreach Scrambles to Fix Complex Damage
An Openreach spokesperson confirmed engineers are already on-site battling a “complex fix” that could take considerable time to complete.
“We understand how frustrating this must be for those affected, and we will do everything we can to prioritise fixes for vulnerable customers and critical local services,” the statement said.
“We’ll also do everything we can to provide temporary connections wherever possible while this difficult repair work is being completed.”
