Arthur Labinjo-Hughes to Have Funeral 16 Months After Tragic Death
Arthur Labinjo-Hughes can finally be laid to rest after 16 agonising months. His killer dad, Thomas Hughes, has agreed to release Arthur’s body to his mum, Olivia Labinjo-Halcrow.
Killer Dad Caves In
Lawyers say Hughes has finally given in, allowing the boy’s remains to be handed over for a proper funeral. Bernard Richmond QC, Hughes’ lawyer, revealed the shocking development.
“I have spoken to him and said this can’t go on. He has instructed me to say that Arthur’s remains, after a service with his family, must go to his mother’s family for her to have a funeral and she must have control,” Richmond said.
“He does hope he can give Olivia a tiny scrap of peace.”
Mum Finally Gets Control
Olivia Labinjo-Halcrow has fought hard for this moment. Now, she can finally hold a funeral for Arthur and begin to find some closure after the horrific ordeal.
