Assault and kidnap probe launched
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was reportedly assaulted and forced into a car in Wood Green. Officers were called at approximately 7.30pm on Friday, 29 March following the incident in Russell Avenue, N22. It was reported that a male riding a bicycle was assaulted by up to four males who had got out of a dark coloured car. The victim was then forced into the car which was driven off at speed. Witnesses stated that a male minicab driver had stopped in the road and would have seen the incident – however, the driver left prior to police arrival. Officers need to speak to that minicab driver in order to confirm what he saw.
