A devastating fire ripped through a packed nightclub in Goa, killing at least 23 people, officials have confirmed. The blaze erupted just after midnight in Arpora, North Goa’s famous nightlife hotspot.

Partygoers were caught in the deadly fire at a bustling club filled with tourists and locals alike. The Press Trust of India reports that three victims died from severe burns, while most suffocated before rescue teams could reach them.
Goa Chief Minister Vows Tough Action
“Today is a very painful day for all of us in Goa. A major fire incident at Arpora has taken the lives of 23 people,” Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on X. “I visited the incident site and have ordered an inquiry into this incident. Those found responsible will face the most stringent action under the law – any negligence will be dealt with firmly.”
Sawant confirmed that among the dead were “three to four” foreign tourists. The tragedy has rocked the region, known for its lively party scene and stunning beaches.
