WWII Bomb Sparks 300-Metre Lockdown in Bath!

A massive 300-metre exclusion zone is still in place across Bath today as bomb disposal experts tackle a ticking time bomb from World War II.

500lb Shell Unearthed at Former School

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team rushed to Lansdown Road yesterday around 4.40pm after contractors digging near a former school uncovered a hefty 500lb bomb.

Sand Barrier Built to Contain Deadly Device

The brave EOD squad is piling up a whopping 250 tonnes of sand to build a protective barrier around the unexploded shell. This sand shield is crucial to safely neutralise the threat.

Bomb Removal Under Police Escort

Once the barrier is secure, the bomb will be carefully escorted away by police to a safe location for detonation or disposal. The whole area remains off-limits until then.

Authorities urge locals to heed the exclusion zone and stay clear while the delicate operation is ongoing.
