An air ambulance touched down next to the Battle of Britain Museum at around 3:30pm today. The urgent landing followed reports that a man fell from scaffolding near the German Heinkel bomber on display.

The injured man, believed to be the Museum’s Chairman, Brocklehurst MBE, was swiftly airlifted to William I Hospital. Details on the severity of his injuries remain unclear.

“At present we do not know how serious his injuries are,” his father said, expressing concern for his son’s condition.
