Body Found in Park Near Missing Woman’s Home

Police have discovered a woman’s body in Brunswick Park, close to the home of missing Petra Srncova. Officers remain on the scene at St Giles Road as investigations continue.

Forensics Swarm the Scene

A blue and white tent and blue tarpaulin have been set up in the park, marking the grim crime scene. Scene of crime officers have spent much of the afternoon combing the area for clues.

The Met’s Major Crime Team has also been spotted at the location, ramping up the probe into this chilling development.

Man Arrested and Released on Bail

A man arrested in connection with Petra’s disappearance has since been released on bail, police confirmed. Petra, a 32-year-old children’s hospital worker from Camberwell, south London, vanished two weeks ago.

She was last seen catching a bus home after withdrawing cash from a cashpoint. A colleague reported her missing last week after she failed to show up for work — behaviour described as “very out of character”.

Body Removed from Park

A grey private ambulance was seen removing the body from the forensic tent just after 5.30pm on Sunday. Police have yet to officially confirm the identity.

The Met Police have been approached for an official statement.
