Boy Airlifted After Horror Collision with Car in Staffordshire

A young boy was rushed to hospital by air ambulance after a nasty collision with a car in Staffordshire yesterday afternoon.

Crash at Rugeley Bus Station

West Midlands Ambulance Service sprang into action at 2:19pm on Monday following reports of a road traffic collision on Elmore Lane, right by the bus station in Rugeley.

Critical Care Team Scrambles to Scene

The Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill touched down with two critical care paramedics onboard, supported by two land ambulances and a paramedic officer.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman said: “When crews arrived, they found a boy, the pedestrian, with potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car.”

Life-Saving Treatment at the Scene

Paramedics immediately administered trauma care. The critical care team quickly decided he needed specialist treatment and arranged for a swift airlift to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The boy was taken by air ambulance, ensuring the fastest possible route to expert care.
