Two Jailed Over ‘DelBoy’ Kent Drug Line After Police Crackdown
‘DelBoy’ Drug Dealers Busted and Jailed in Kent
Wayne Kassim and Mark Duce masterminded a phone line selling heroin and cocaine under the alias ‘DelBoy’. Police smashed their operation after a thorough investigation sparked by a drug-related medical emergency.
Police Surveillance Cracks Kent’s ‘DelBoy’ Line
Detectives tracing the source found the phone line advertising class A drugs across Canterbury. Mark Duce’s vehicles – a VW Beetle and a Vauxhall Mokka – were linked to drug runs between South London, Maidstone, Canterbury, and Thanet.
The investigation matched drug deals to the movement of these cars. On 8 February 2024, officers stopped the Vauxhall Mokka in Kingsmead Road, Canterbury. Both Kassim and Duce were promptly arrested.
Evidence Found on Both Men
Police seized the phone used for advertising from Kassim. Nearby, officers discovered a ball of heroin. Duce later admitted involvement in supplying heroin and cocaine, while Kassim was convicted after trial of the same charges plus possession with intent to supply.
Heavy Jail Terms for Kent Drug Dealers
Mark Duce, 51, of Littlebourne, was sentenced to two and a half years at Canterbury Crown Court on 12 July 2024. Wayne Kassim, 39, of Maidstone, received a hefty seven-year prison term.
Detective Constable Martin Aird of the County Lines and Gangs Team said: “Class A drugs like these put lives at risk and fuel crime and violence in local communities. We will be relentless in tracking down dealers and taking them off Kent’s streets.”
