Boy Dragged Under Tram in Wythenshawe Horror

A dreadful scene unfolded at 3.30pm today when a boy was hit and dragged beneath a Metrolink tram at Crossacres stop in Wythenshawe.

Witnesses raised the alarm as the youngster got trapped under the tram. Emergency crews raced to the scene, pulled him to safety, and rushed him to hospital.

Life-Threatening Injuries Spark Police Investigation

The boy, whose age remains unconfirmed, is now battling serious, possibly life-changing injuries. Police have sealed off the area as they launch a full investigation.

Locals Speak Out After Shocking Incident

Those nearby were left stunned. One witness said, “I just heard all the sirens – police, ambulance, even a helicopter landed nearby. It was completely shocking.”

Another local mother told the M.E.N, “It’s just so sad, I’m so sorry for the parents of that boy.”

The accident has halted tram services heading to Manchester Airport while emergency teams work on site.
